OBRA desiccant clay is a natural calcium bentonite, consisting approx. 90% of the mineral montmorillonite.
The calcium bentonite has a layer structure. Water molecules can be reversible adsorbed in its spacing at enlargement of the layer distance.
OBRA desiccant clay is mainly being used in form of desiccant bags according to DIN 55 473 for the protection of products, which are sensitive to humidity.
Furthermore the OBRA desiccant clay can also be used for the static dehumidification of air and other gases.
Packaging: Big bags with inlaid polyethylene bags of up to 1,000 kgs net weight.
